She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Leonard Bates and Margaret Bates; her husband Al Carson; her children, Katie, Mary Shaughnessy (John), Tom (Karen), Ceil Roebuck (Joe), Phil (Teri), Jeannie Legge (Norm), Ed (Kandi), Ann Hartman (Tony) and Patti Lamb (David); and her grandchildren, John (Jen), Brian (Kathleen), Kathleen, Ben (Maren), Chris (Billi), Jill (Donnie), Diana (Brandon), Laura (Donovan), Nick (Ilse), Tony (Loren), Matt (Beth), Michael (Katie), Kristina (Sam), Rachel (Will), Anna Marie, Danny, Andrew (Lexi), Collin, Kara, Maria, Sam, Grace, Henry and Margaret. She was also cherished by 24 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Little Sisters of the Poor at St. Augustine Home or to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul.
