It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dortohy M. Lee-Smith of Indianapolis, Indiana, who passed away on October 12, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Dortohy may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Dortohy touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Merald Engel and Dorothy Engel. She is survived by: her husband David R. Smith; her daughter Mila Walker; her grandchildren, Sarah Hites (Lewis) and Jason Adams; and her great grandchildren, Audrey, Layla and Addy Hites.
