With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Edgar Thomas Chesterson in Indianapolis, Indiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 4, 2026 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Otto and Callie Bernice Chesterson (Mudd); and his siblings, Richard, Steve, Janet Gates (Bob) and Jean Kenter (Tom).
He is survived by: his wife Maryann Lenahan; his children, Carla Denise Knight (Michael), Daniel Patrick Chesterson (Debbie) and Joanne Louise Soller (Patrick); his grandchildren, Lindsey Kirkland (Christian), Ryan Soller (Taylor), Kathleen Soller, Nathaniel Chesterson (Grace), Elizabeth Soller and Anna Chesterson; his sisters, Jodi Erlenbaugh (Jim) and Ruthann Kiemeyer; and his sister-in-law Carol Ann Chesterson. He is also survived by his wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
