It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edward D. Weems (Indianapolis, Indiana), who passed away on September 25, 2025, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Bennie Weems and Celeste Weems; his siblings, Viola Harris and Don Weems; and his grandson David Radford Jr..
He is survived by: his close friend Beverly Burpo; his children, Shun Radford (David Radford) and Shannon Taylor (Larry Taylor); his grandchildren, Daimien Weems, Sierra White, Shamar White and Dorian Radford; and his great grandchild Amiyah Shelton. He is also survived by his companion, daughters, grandchildren, great grandchild and along with a host of extended family.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Washington Park East (10722 E Washington St, Indianapolis, IN 46229). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
