He was predeceased by : his parents, Mary Winters and Ferd Winters; his wife Mary E. Winters; his sister Jean Bennett; his grandson Craig Mills; and his nephew James Bennett.

He is survived by : his stepchildren, Butch Mills (Marilyn), Chuck Mills, David Albro and Julie Wallen (Harold); and his nieces, Jo Grimes and Elaine Fontana. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.
