He is survived by: his wife Dora Esmeralda Arevalo (Torres); his children, Irma Janeth Scheker, Dora Irasema Thomas (Tim), Elias Ernesto Arevalo (Jenny) and Ruth Carolina Arevalo (Vladimir); his grandchildren, Arely Elrod (John), Alan Alas, Melanie Riggs (Brandon), Gisselle Alas (Luis), Alex Thomas (Autumn), Zach Thomas, Abraham Scheker, Mark Scheker, Valerie Malpica (Russell), Emily Thomas, Sophia Barahona and Vanessa Arevalo; and his great grandchildren, Isaac Alas, Louie Rosario, Noah Alas, Aria Riggs, Makenna Riggs and Gianna Riggs.
Visitation was held on Sunday, March 16th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Monday, March 17th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Monday, March 17th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Oaklawn Memorial Gardens (9700 Allisonville Rd, Indianapolis, IN 46250).
