Elizabeth Ione Stevens Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Elizabeth Ione Stevens in Indianapolis, Indiana, who passed away on September 29, 2025 at the age of 104. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Elizabeth Ione Stevens to pay them a last tribute.

Though Elizabeth may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Elizabeth touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.

She was predeceased by: her husband Lester Tee Stevens; her parents, Jesse Virgil Pruitt and Zelma Lee Dyer Pruitt; her son Lester Evan Stevens; and her grandsons, Daric Gamache and Nicholas Jacobi.

She is survived by: her daughters, Zelma Taylor (Gordon Goodwin), Betty Gamache (Dennis), Rosie Doty and Freddi Stevens-Jacobi (Bob Jacobi). She is also survived by twelve grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 6th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Forest Lawn Funeral Home (1977 S State Rd 135, Greenwood, IN 46143).
