She was predeceased by: her parents, John Combs and Alice Combs (Begley); her former husband James Downey; her husband Willard Thomas; her daughters, Robin Rene (Downey) and Kelly Downey; her son-in-law Michael Rene; her siblings, Ginger Leonard (Dallas), Shelby Qualls (Mario), Jean Ridener (Harold), June Earls (Jesse), Robert, John Paul "Paul Johnnie" Combs (Pat), Harrison Combs (Margaret), Devaughn "Bonnie" Combs (Mary) and Victor Combs (Virginia); and her daughter-in-law Kim Thomas.
She is survived by: her son Timothy Downey (Debra); her stepsons, Gary Thomas (Sandy) and Jack Thomas; her grandchildren, Anne Rincker (Kurt), Meghan Rene, Joseph Rene and Evan Downey (Shannell); her great grandchildren, Michael Rene, Noah Rincker (Brooke), Asher Downey, David Rene and Michael Rincker (Rachel); and her brother Phillip Combs (Leanne). She is also survived by her nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family would greatly appreciate contributions in Elnora's name to the Dementia Society of America, or the Diabetes Research Institute.
