He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Fritz Lorch and Alice Eckman Lorch; his children, Ken Lorch (Susan) and Karin Miller (Dick); and his grandchildren, Lesley Kraft (Ryan), Erica Lorch (Brian Boruszak), Avi Miller and Carrie Miller Tyler. He was also cherished by three great grandchildren.
