He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Allen and Vylittia Chastine Shirley. He is survived by: his wife Gloria Shirley; his stepdaughters, Heather Newsom (Jeremy Ivey) and Joan Newsom; his grandchildren, Isaiah Martinez, Darby Martinez and Samuel Martinez; his great grandchild Thomas James Martinez; and his brothers, Bill Shirley, Phylip Shirley, Danny Shirley and Tommy Shirley.
