As Genevieve departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Genevieve may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Genevieve leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lesley Downey and Ann Downey (Hammersley); her husband John Richard Farris; her daughter Deanna Farris; and her grandson Nathaniel Evan.
She is survived by: her children, Cynthia Baker, Scott Farris and Kenneth Farris; and her sister-in-law Roe Farris. She is also survived by many grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, May 10th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Fountain Square Cremation & Funeral Services (1420 Prospect St, Indianapolis, IN 46203). A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 10th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the same location.
