It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Geraldine Johnson (Indianapolis, Indiana), born in Liberty, Kentucky, who passed away on October 5, 2025, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Edgar Payton and Ethel Payton; her son-in-law Tommy Garrett; and her sister Mary Tapscott. She is survived by: her grandchildren, Heather, Crystal, Hollie and Rusty; her great grandchildren, Jaylen, Cody, LilWill, Caylee and Jaxon; and her siblings, Ellen, Maxine, Dorothy, Edgar and James.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Washington Park East (10722 E Washington St, Indianapolis, IN 46229). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location.
