He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerald Nelson Smith and Mabel Claire Fuqua Smith; and his sisters, Claire Hook and Susan Tiller. He is survived by: his children, Lauren Smith-Ramesh, Brian Smith, Jason Smith and Allison Teeters.
