With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Gladys Gearlds of Indianapolis, Indiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 21, 2026 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Halcomb and Eva Halcomb (Pratt); her husband Frank; her granddaughter Amber McGuire; and her siblings, Allie Suttles (Halcomb), Clyde, Jesse, Jack and James Halcomb.
She is survived by: her son Rick (Sandy); her granddaughters, Kassandra Chadwell (Jess) and Kristin McGuire; her great grandchildren, Daniel, Alayna, Phoenix, Vance, Zola and Marlowe; and her siblings, Shirley Elmore, Dorothy McNulty (Junior), Mary Burgess, Beulah Barger (Guy) and Lundy Halcomb. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
For those choosing to make a memorial contribution in Gladys' memory the family has suggested those be offered to the Riley Hospital for Children in Indianapolis.
