She is survived by: her mother Judith Ann Essex (Chelf); her husband Joseph Edward Gallagher; her children, Lela Ann Mathias (Evan), Joseph William Gallagher (Hannah), Michael Richard Gallagher (Alyssa) and Ivy Jane Gallagher; her siblings, Richard Essex, II (Connie) and Ann Catherine Cox (Tommy); and her granddaughter Grace Kellogg Mathias.
