He was predeceased by: his parents, Ambrose Germann and Emma Germann; and his sisters, Betty Svec and Mary Wehrman. He is survived by: his wife Mary Jo (Foster); his children, Amy Dineen (Brian), Sara Germann-Scott (Andrew) and Nicholas Germann; his grandchildren, Caitlin Dineen, Shannon Dineen, Adrienne Dineen, Quinn Germann and Van Germann; his siblings, Jean Hengelbrok (Edwin), Arlene Riedel (Ron), William Germann (Marilyn), Sharon Serey (Owen) and Jeff Germann (Michelle); and his sisters-in-law, Terri Modic (Chris), Margaret Turk (Bill), Kathleen Foster (Paul Wollard) and Michelle Foster (Alex Fibbe). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
