He was predeceased by: his parents, James E. Tanner and Rev. Inez E. Tanner; his wife Ellen P. Tanner; and his siblings, Gerald Tanner, James Gaylor, Harry Tanner and Dorothy J. Foley.
He is survived by: his daughters, Tashia L. Tanner, Sherri A. T. Rogers and Veneita L. Willis (Ron); his siblings, Doris Wilson and John W. Tanner; his grandchildren, Michael D. Rogers (Jill) and Kaylah L. Willis; and his great grandchildren, Hannah M. Rogers and Joshua M. Rogers. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
