It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Herbert Demaree of Indianapolis, Indiana, who passed away on December 8, 2025, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Herbert shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Herbert farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Floerke and Viola Mae Floerke (Zook); and his nephew Nikolaos Adkins, Sr.. He is survived by: his siblings, John M. Demaree (Lois), Lou R. Demaree (Pamela), Robert "Bob" L. Demaree and Penney J. Adkins; his nephew Gregory L. Adkins; and his great-nephew Nikolaos L. Adkins Jr..
A reception will be held on Monday, December 15th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Fountain Square Cremation and Funeral Services (1420 Prospect St, Indianapolis, IN 46203).
Memorial contributions are encouraged to the funeral home to assist the family with service expenses.
