She was predeceased by: her husband Ira Buttz of Hoffa's Bar; and her parents, Billy Millard Hughes and Nellie Beatrice Hughes. She is survived by: her son Kevin Hughes; her grandchildren, Alex Hughes and Nikki Sigwalt; her siblings, Glenda Calvert, Pearl Bailey, Dorothy Flintcraft, Ed Hughes, Nina Pate and Billy Hughes; and her great grandchild Brady Raymond Edward Hughes. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Hilda Grace Buttz will be remembered not only for her contributions to her profession and community but also for her strength of character and deep devotion to her family.
