He was predeceased by: his daughter Shannon Lucas (Darland); his parents, Rodney Lucas and Ruth Lucas; and his siblings, Harold, Bill Lucas and Rosemary Yarber.

He is survived by: his wife Carolyn; his children, Tammy Piety (Jay) and Dan; and his grandchildren, Ryan Piety (Karen), Ross Piety, Shelby Lucas, Garrett Lucas (Sarah), Isla Piety and Lenora Lucas.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to New Bethel Baptist Church 8936 Southeastern Ave. Indianapolis, IN 46239, where Jack is a member, accepted Jesus into his heart, and made the public confession of his faith thru baptism at the church 50 years ago.
