He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Ernest Burcham and Marie Robertson Burcham; his wife Ruth Burcham; his grandson Ian Matthews; and his sister Imogene Burcham Pruitt.
He is survived by: his brother Stanley Burcham; his children, Pamela Matthews (Michael) and James L. II Burcham (Kathleen); his grandchildren, Robyn McCorkle (Sean), Kylie Schuster (Tobias), Ryan Skojac and Megan Skojac; and his great grandchildren, Grace Jo and Ruth Marie.
