He was predeceased by: his parents, Denton Carter and Bernice Carter; and his brother Joseph Carter. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Carter; his children, Vicky Manifold (Sonny) of Whitestown, Stacey Purcell of Bethel and Chanel Cunningham (Scott) of Carmel, Indiana.; and his sister Barbara Gann (Robert) of Sevierville, Tennessee.. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
