With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of James Martin Connolly of Indianapolis, Indiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 25, 2025 at the age of 77. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ethel Connolly (Fleming) and John Connolly; and his stepson James Ramsay Hofmeister. He is survived by: his wife Giannina L. Hofmeister (Lombardo); his sisters, Cathy Eichelberger (Larry) and Patricia Connolly; his stepchildren, Carter Allan Hofmeister (Eve) and Virginia Emily Russell (Devon); his niece Amanda Carver (Mo); and his nephew Christopher Eichelberger (Ann). He is also survived by fifteen step-grandchildren; and eighteen step-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Alphonsus Liguori Roman Catholic Church, 1870 W. Oak Street, Zionsville, IN 46077 and/or masses for James M. Connolly.
