He was predeceased by: his parents, Iva Lee Watson and Carly C. Long; his spouse Shirley Temple Long; and his sister-in-law Shirley Long. He is survived by: his children, James Allen (Dennis M. Henry) and Linda M. Long; and his siblings, Clayton Long, Alma Cook and Linda Hanson.
The family of James Long is requesting that memorial contributions be made to St. Alban's Episcopal Church, 4601 N. Emerson Ave Indianapolis, IN 46201.
