He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Ray Stout and Olive Millicent Stout; his wife Eileen Stout; his siblings, Clara Ellen Weaver, Elma Stewart, John Park Stout, David Jackson Stout and William Russell Stout; and his grandson Aaron Joshua Stout.

He is survived by: his children, James, Gloria, Douglas and Robert. He is also survived by six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
