She was predeceased by: her parents, Winifred and George. She is survived by: her husband Richard Hemmings; her sister Linda Carter (William); her daughters, Jenifer Warfield and Caprecia "Reecie" King; her grandchildren, Riley McCaughey, Hayle Loechle (Isaac), Madison McCaughey, Zion King (Mya) and Malachi King; her niece Chesney Long; and her pet Luna.
Her career was marked by significant contributions to the Indiana Government and Dow Brands.
