She was predeceased by: her parents, Clyde H. McCord and Dorothy M. McCord (Vogt); her husband Meredith Smith; and her brothers, Richard and Clyde E. McCord.
She is survived by: her children, Wayne Smith (Debbie) of Brownsburg, Ronald Smith of Indianapolis, Kathie Fail (John) of Kennesaw, Georgia and Laura Smith of Indianapolis, Indiana; and her grandchildren, Dustan Smith (Kelli) of Muncie, Ashley Fail of Kennesaw, Georgia, Michael Fail of Kennesaw and Rebecca Gant (Kyle) of Indianapolis, Indiana. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
