She was predeceased by: her parents, Gloria Shirley and Gary Shirley; her stepfather Gary Shirley (Gloria); and her grandparents, Warren and Pauline Cogswell.

She is survived by: her children, Isaiah Martinez (Erin), Darby Martinez and Samuel Martinez; her grandson Thomas James Martinez; her sister Heather Newsom (Jeremy Ivey); the father of her children Miguel Martinez (Crystal); and her adoptive father Fred Ivey.
