He was predeceased by: his parents, John Battiato and Frances Battiato (Minardi); his siblings, Charles, Russell Battiato and Mary Fucinaro; his grandsons, Adam Sparenblek and Christopher Schnepf; and his great grandchild Caden Bauerle.
He is survived by: his brother Reverand Ronald Battiato; and his children, Mary Jo Schnepf (Carl), Dominic Battiato (Cynthia), Marguerite Blackburn (Thomas), Diana Wininger (Daniel), Tina Thompson, John Battiato (Robin), Anthony Battiato (Lisa), Joseph Battiato (Linda), Stephen Battiato (Lisa) and Thomas McKinney (Velvet). He is also survived by 30 grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions have been suggested to Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Rebuild My Church Fund.
