He was predeceased by: his parents, John Elkins and Nora Elkins (Taylor); his former wife Wilma Elkins; his wife Martha Louise "Sparkie" Elkins; and his children, Gene Fox and Sharon Baldwin.
He is survived by: his children, Rita Fodrell, Cathy Craig, Gary Fox, Kevin Elkins (Lola) and Shawn Elkins (Georgia). He is also survived by twenty grandchildren; more than twenty great-grandchildren; and two siblings.
