We announce the death of John F. Karst of Indianapolis, Indiana, who passed away on September 7, 2026, at the age of 84. He was predeceased by: his parents, Franklin Leonard Karst and Georgianna Castator; his brother Richard A. Karst; his stepchildren, Amy Weidler and Ed Bragg; and his wife Marjorie Dolby.
He is survived by: his son John F. Karst (Heather) of Roanoke; his stepdaughter Tina Marie Strayer of Indianapolis; and his sister Sharon Fudge (LaVern) of Columbia City. He is also survived by six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel (2901 Guilford St, Huntington, IN 46750).

The family encourages donations in John's memory in appreciation of the support, assistance, and valuable resources the Indiana Parkinson's Foundation provided to John and his family throughout his life.
