We are sad to announce that on March 19, 2023, at the age of 77, John R. Brooks (Indianapolis, Indiana) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parent Harold E. Brooks. He is survived by: his wife Melanie Lee Brooks (Glore); and his stepsons, Steven Carpenter (Karen) of Tracy, CA, Andrew Maluck (Julie) of Avon, IN and Michael Maluck (Heather) of Tipton, IN. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Wounded Warriors Project PO Box 758516 Topeka, KS 66675-8516 https://www.woundedwarriorproject.org. The family greatly appreciates donations made to these charities in John R. Brooks's name.
