He was loved and cherished by many people including: parents: Mary Jones; grandparents: Dave and Ellen Jones; wife: Etta; children: Oscar (Linda), Nellie (Dave) McLerran, Loreena Hegenbart, Bill (Jan), Howard (Susan), Judy (Larry) Ackley, Rosetta, Sybil, and Tim (Kristy); son: John Jr; grandchildren: Holli; great grandson: William; son-in-law: Patrick Noel Hegenbart; and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, family members in Kentucky, nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 27th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Indiana Funeral Care West (5791 Rockville Rd, Indianapolis, IN 46224). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 27th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, October 27th 2026 at 2:30 PM at the West Ridge Park Cemetery (9295 W 21st St, Indianapolis, IN 46234).
