He was predeceased by: his parents, Leother Terrell, Sr. and Malissa Lauray. He is survived by: his siblings, Leother Terrell, Jr., Curtis Gregory (Cheryl), Janice Gregory, Keith Terrell, Sadonia Terrell and Mariether Terrell; his daughters, June Cheatham (Royce), Jo'Ni Kelley (Herman), Joey Sturgis (Michael) and Johnnetta Springer (Tracy); and his niece Rachel Gregory. He is also survived by twenty-one grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, one great-great grandson, thirteen first cousins, and host of other relatives, friends, and neighbors.
John was an active and faithful member of Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist church where he participated in the upkeep of the grounds as well as regularly donating to the food pantry.
