He is survived by: his wife Eleanor Quinn of St. Louis; his children, Cynthia Hingtgen (Grant Nicol), Christina Dooley (Tim) and Charles Hingtgen; his grandchildren, Caleb, Tyler and AJ; his stepgrandchildren, Liz and Ian; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Brooklyn and Ethan; and his sister Barbara Compton.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra or the Indiana University School of Medicine.
