She is survived by: her husband Bradley "Brad" Armstrong; her children, John and Mary Beth Armstrong; her father Earl Johnson; her brother Tim Johnson (Lyn); and her nephews, Cameron, Ethan and Logan Johnson.

Memorial contributions in Joy's memory may be made to Robbie Armstrong Scholarship Fund with Purdue University Agronomy.
