He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Stanford and Anner Stanford; his daughter Rutha Nell Stanford; and his sisters, Rutha Nell McFerren, Corine Jackson and Alice Jean Stanford.
He is survived by: his children, John T., Isaac, Tyrone of South Bend, Indiana, Denita, Kieran, Chelle of Atlanta, Georgia, DeAunna of Cape Girardeau, Contessa of Detroit and Tim of San Francisco, California; and his sisters, Ruby Wilderness and Willie Willis of Indianapolis, Indiana. He is also survived by twenty four grandchildren; thirty-four great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and close friends.
