Kateel will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around him. He was predeceased by: his parents, Kateel Vital Pai and Nagi Pai. He is survived by: his wife Jayashree Pai; his children, Dr. Durga Pai, Harish Pai and Dr. Rajesh Pai (Valerie Pai); and his grandchildren, Jathan Pai, Anjali Pai and Lakshmi Kateel Pai.
