He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Schmidt and Irene Schmidt; and his son Jeffrey Schmidt. He is survived by: his wife Denise Schmidt; his children, Lindsay Schmidt and Jason Schmidt; his son-in-law Robert Weis; his grandsons, Benjamin Weis, Harrison Weis and Henry Siovaila; his sister Cindy Bowman; and his brother-in-law Jim Bowman.
