He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Richard Walker and Ernestine Bowens-Hodge; his daughters, Amber Smit (Brian) of St. Joseph and Denise Bell of Indianapolis; his siblings, Carmen Carrese (Gail) of Baton Rouge, LA., Evelyn Hodge of Elkhart, IN., Victoria Johnson of Benton Harbor, Ladonne Jones (Brett) of Walker and Anthony Hodge of Tacoma, WA; and his son Matthew.

Visitation was held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Fairplain Chapel of Florin Funeral & Cremation Services. A celebration of life was held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.

Memorials may be given to the Dignity Care Partners Hospice in Indianapolis.
