With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Lanie Mae Smith (Indianapolis, Indiana), born in Culloden, Georgia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 13, 2025 at the age of 84. She was predeceased by: her parents, Maybelle Bentley and Alonzo Jordan; and her siblings, Willie James of Joe Harris, O. B., Horace Jordan, Pearline Alexander and Katie Bell Avery.
She is survived by: her sons, Steven White (Barbita) of Denver, Linton White (Jennifer) of Los Angeles, Keith White of Indianapolis and Anthony White (Tammy) of Chicago, Illinois; and her grandchildren, Brandon, Stevie, Jenny and Emerson. She is also survived by two sisters-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
