We announce the death of Leila M. Edwards of Indianapolis, Indiana, who passed away on June 20, 2026, at the age of 91. Leila will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Leila will be remembered for the impact she had on the lives of those around her. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Leila’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued her companionship.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George Whyde and Blanche Whyde; her husband David Edwards; her daughter-in-law Shirley Edwards; her grandson Corey Edwards; and her brother Richard Whyde.
She is survived by: her children, David M Edwards, Jeffrey R Edwards (Jeanne), Timothy L. Edwards (Cassandra) and Kimberly (Edwards) Holzwarth (Tom); and her pet Oliver. She is also survived by Nine Grandchildren, and six Great Grandchildren.
