It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Lester Basey of Indianapolis, Indiana, who passed away on September 26, 2025, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family in the guestbook on this memorial page of Lester Basey to show support.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Basey and Alice Basey. He is survived by: his wife Janie Reuter; his children, Lester Basey Jr. (Rhonda), Rick Basey (Kim), Kim Jenkins (late Mike), Penny Prince (Chance), Ginnie Shaner and Lisa Burchfield Kimbro; and his pet Gizmo. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Washington Park East (10722 E Washington St, Indianapolis, IN 46229). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Washington Park East Cemetery (10612 E Washington St, Indianapolis, IN 46229).
