He is survived by: his mother Cuma Harber Hays; his brother Wesley Roche Hays (Janet); his wife Harriet Blanche Varney; and his children, John of Palm Bay, FL, Paul of New York, NY and Mary (Glenda) of Indianapolis. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
