She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Richard "Dick" Brindle (Chemistry); her former husband Robert Albright; her parents, Soloman Basan and Lillian Blau Basan; her sister Pearl Basan Refkin (Max); her nephews, Max and Daniel; her children, Rebecca (Ralph) and Nathan (Sally); her grandson Kevin (Helle); her great grandchildren, Gibson, Tilde, Bodhi and Liv; her stepgrandchildren, Dean, Ralph Jr. and Franchesca; and her sibling's children, Joseph, Melynda, Cynthia, Karen, Judy, Steve, Patty, Ellen, Kevin, John, Sara, Robert, Marianne, David, Michael, Murray and Mark.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Indianapolis Hebrew Congregation Foundation or to a favorite not-for-profit supporting cats.
