It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Martha Jane Monroe of Indianapolis, Indiana, born in Brownsville, Kentucky, who passed away on June 9, 2023, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Blossie Whobrey and Mamie Whobrey; and her siblings, Fred Whobrey, Sue Abney, Lou Knox and Oberta Combs.

She is survived by: her husband Robert Monroe (Bob); her daughters, Melinda Burge (Jim), Bobbie Watkins (Chuck) and Leona Monroe; her sister Geraldine Gay; and her grandchildren, Adam, Charlie, Emily, Sebastian, Austin, Devon, Steven and Alyssa. She is also survived by 6 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
