He was predeceased by: his parents, William H. Barlow and Katie Lee Wilkey Barlow; his son William Barlow; his brother Ronald Barlow; and his sister-in-law Karen Barlow.

He is survived by: his wife Queenola Searcy Barlow; his children, Marvin J. Barlow (Barnetta), Howard Barlow (Heather), Kenneth Barlow (Dawn), Marva R. Barlow and Marlena Serrano; his grandchildren, Bryon Barlow, Keenan Barlow, Amber Barlow, Kelsey Barlow, Camren Harris (Allyssa), Jaylyn Barlow Fischl (Tyler), Christopher Barlow, Daeshionna Almonte Kimbrough, Mykaela Pierre Kimbrough, Dillion Kimbrough, Devan Kimbrough and Deanna Kimbrough; and his siblings, Dennis Barlow (Lucille), Edith Barlow Bailey (David), Nancy Barlow, Sharon Barlow Vorhis, Daniel Barlow (SiYona) and David Barlow (Tia). He is also survived by great grandchildren.
