With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Mary R. Hooper (Indianapolis, Indiana), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Mary left this world on July 21, 2025 at the age of 89, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

In the sacred silence of farewell, Mary is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Mary's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Wesley Rundell and Marjorie Rundell; and her brother Tom Rundell. She is survived by: her children, Beth Nelson (Greg Lowery), Jo Kiel (Steve) and Bill Hooper (Becky).

Visitation will be held on Monday, July 28th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Chapel Hill United Methodist Church (963 N Girls School Rd, Indianapolis, IN 46214). A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 28th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.

“Mary was a very good friend of my wife's when she was still living. When Mary lived in the senior apartment's, I played harmonica there several times. Used to see her Sundays at C.H.U.M.C. She came to our house in Speedway to see my wife many times. She will be missed. Jon Kring”
