He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Richard Cordell and Nelda June Cordell (Millikan); his sister Donna Lynne Lawrence (Cordell); his close friend Lois Ann Combs; and his former wife Patricia Ann Screen (Johnson).
He is survived by: his children, Chris Cordell (Sheri) and Emily Featherston (Ryan); his stepson Tim Smith (Donna); his siblings, Cindy Eason (Byron) and Mark Cordell; Robert "Bobby" Combs. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
