He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward A. Mathes and Frances M. Mathes; and his sister Cathy Lambert. He is survived by: his wife Tina L. Mathes; his children, Christopher R. Henderson (Rachael), Heather L. Mathes and Julie A. Langhorst (David); his grandchildren, Eleanor A. Mathes and Davin A. Langhorst; his brother Edward Mathes (Pam); and his pets, Hamilton, Atlas, Kane and Monza.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the G. H. Herrmann Funeral Home and Cremation Center (5141 Madison Ave, Indianapolis, IN 46227). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
